The Ford Transit low roof 2-bar aluminum ladder rack, SKU AVA-2TLR, provides 2 aluminum support bars for a vehicle-specific ladder and utility-rack layout. This full-size Transit rack is identified for Low Roof models beginning in 2015; it is not the Transit Connect rack.

Crossbar specifications

• 2 aluminum crossbars per set, each 72 inches wide.
• 1½-inch square aluminum cross rails.
• Aluminum mounting bases.
• Listed rack rating: 300 lb with the weight evenly distributed.
• Side supports, rubber gaskets, mounting hardware and instructions.
• Made in the USA.

The two 72-inch bars use original factory roof holes. Check the Low Roof configuration and the planned bar positions before ordering; the named van family alone does not identify every roof layout.

Mounting layout and load limits

The rack mounts at the original factory holes in the vehicle roof. Match the mounting locations to the supplied instructions before installation. Check the actual vehicle configuration and roof condition before choosing the final installation arrangement.

The published capacity is a rack specification, not a replacement for the vehicle manufacturer's roof-load limit. Confirm both limits and the required load distribution before use. Plan the ladder positions across the supplied bars and use the appropriate securing method; side supports are not a substitute for load restraint.
